Subject: Notification of Treatability Study at Thiokol Corporation's Promontory Facility,
EPA #UTD009081357
In compliance with 40 CFR 261.4(f)(1) and as you requested for each study, Thiokol
Corporation hereby gives notification to the State Department of Environmental Quality of our
intent to begin a treatability study on or after 45 days from the date ofthis letter. The purpose of
this study is to try new techniques for neutralizing energetic materials. These studies will be
conducted at M-705 and may utilize several types of energetic materials.
This. Treatability Study will be conducted in compliance with all applicable rules contained
in 40 CFR 261.4(e) and (f).
