Re: Property transfer
Air Force Plant 78
Dear Mr. Thompson:
In October 1995, the Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste (DSHW) received a request from
Thiokol to address the requirements the DSHW might impose regarding the property transfer of Air
Force Plant 78.
The Part B Storage Permit that covers hazardous waste operations at Plant 78 was issued on
September 28, 1992. This permit was issued to Thiokol Corporation and the EPA ID Number for
the Plant is the same as the rest of the Thiokol Facility. The only changes that might have to take
place are permit citations that specifically refer to the designation of "Air Force Plant 78." These
citations can be easily modified under the provisions of R315-3-17.
The DSHW believes there is nothing within our jurisdiction to preclude the transfer of ownership of
Plant 78.
