Dear Ms. Lewis:
The Utah Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste (DSHW) received the Final Environmental Baseline
Survey (EBS) for AFP 78 on October 30, 1995. After a review of the document and the attached Related
Environmental Factors Report (REFR), the DSHW has no major comments. The DSHW believes there
is nothing in the EBS, the REFR, or any on-going investigation to preclude the transfer of AFP 78 to
Thiokol Corporation.
Please be aware that there are several minor errors in Table 3-1. Many of the dates of constmction for
buildings at AFT 78 are wrong. Thiokol has stated that they will provide you with the correct dates.
Also in Table 3-1, page 3-3, Building M-636 should read "Radiographic Inspection."
