Mllers Auto Repair has codormed to the audit given on August 14, 1997. We have taken
the steps nscessaxy to be in compliance with the state law. The following is a list of improvements
we were required to do and the actions we have takem.
First, we were asked to send letters noti$ing the police departmenf hospital and fire
deparftnent of the hazardous wastes that we have in case of an emergercy. Those letters were sent
August 18, 1997. We have received only one response back. ( Enclosed is a copy of the letters
sent and the one response letter.)
Second, we needed to post by the shop phone the ernergency nrxnbers, who the
emergency coordinator is. and where the fire extinguisher is. A sign was posted rmder the phone
on,tugust 18, 1997. ( Enclosed is a copy of the sign posted.)
Thir4 it is required that the paint filters and the paint bricks were sent for anatysis of
metals. As per phone conversation we were informed that we do not need to get an analysis of the
b,ricks or filters. We are now required to have thern disposed of by a wa.ste managernent company.
lte hrve made arrangements with Safety-Kleen to pick up all paint wastes.
Fourtlr. ws were asked to recycle our flourescent light tubes. Safeff-Kleen also recycles
light tubes so the-v will start prcking those up also.
Fifttu we were told to keep the hazardous wa.ste containers closed. We have taken the steps
to make sure the,y are closed at all times except when rernoving or adding hazardous materials to
the oontainer.
According to our records, we have complied with everything in the auclit. Please notiff us
if we have missed or bver looked aq.rhing. We appreciate your time and consideration in tlds
matter.
