This modification includes: 1. Changes to select groundwater compliance limits; 2. The addition of dissolved oxygen to field monitoring requirements; 3. A change regarding seeps and springs monitoring frequency to allow for 4th quarter monitoring, and; 4. A clarification of the due date for the slimes drain compliance plan. The action modifies the groundwater permit issued effective January 19, 2018. The action does not alter the effective or expiration dates of the groundwater permit. A draft permit has been prepared. The public comment period to receive comments on the groundwater permit modification will commence on November 28, 2018 and end on December 28, 2018. A public hearing has been scheduled at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Blanding Arts and Events Center Auditorium, Utah State University Eastern, 715 West 200 South, Blanding, Utah. Written comments will be accepted if received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 and should be submitted to the address below.
