Soil on the right side of the image is bermed material used to contain the asphalt oil. Water from the water truck was used to cool the oil to prevent it from spreading farther. All spilled oil was contained on pavement. The oil was mixed with the bermed aggregate and recycled through the asphalt plant for reuse. The spilled oil was lightly watered down to cool the material to prevent it from spreading farther.
