Donna Spangler (Email), Carlee Christoffersen (Email) Don Verbica (Email), Larene Wyss (Email) Facility File, Public Participation File, Alisa Westenskow Notice The Director of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control invites comment from the public regarding a Site Management Plan (SMP) for the Pepper River Facility at 3333 West, 9000 South, West Jordan, Utah. The facility is owned by Aligned Energy at 2800 Summit Avenue, Plano, Texas. Soil contamination is present in two areas of the Pepper River Facility. The contamination meets industrial land use standards, but does not meet the residential use land standards of Utah Administrative Code (UAC) R315-101. The SMP therefore restricts land use to industrial activities and requires tracking and proper management of any contaminated soil that may be moved onsite or removed from the property. A deed notice and other property related notices are also required. The public comment period for the SMP begins June 29, 2018 and ends July 30, 2018. A public hearing may be held if, within 15 days of publication of this notice, a request is made to the Director in writing which meets the requirements of UAC R315-311-3. Documents related to SMP proposal can be reviewed at the following location: Utah Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control Multi Agency State Office Building 195 North 1950 West, 2nd Floor Salt Lake City, Utah For public convenience, an unofficial copy of the SMP is available on the Internet at: “https://deq.utah.gov/public-notices-archive/waste-management-radiation-control-public-notices” Written comments will be accepted if received by 5:00 p.m. on July 30, 2018, and should be submitted to the address below.
