Subject: Request for 30 Day Extension to Store Hazardous Waste
Dear Mr. Anderson,
Autoliv Automotive Safety Products, Brigham City Utah facility (IBC) requests a 30-day extension to hold hazardous waste in
our 90-day storage area. The material, quantity and reason for request are listed below.
Reason for Extension Request:
A request for classification has been submitted to DOT and we are waiting for their classification in order to transport to a
TSDF for proper disposal. Until the DOT classification is obtained this material cannot be transported. We are requesting to
extend our storage period for 30 days. We are working with DOT to expedite the process, however, this waste will be stored
longer than our 90 day time limit. This waste began accumulation in the 90 days storage area on March 6, 2018.
Material: Gas Generant (PNP-487, PNP-409, PNP-524 and PNA-24B)
Quantity: (6) Plastic 5 Gallon Buckets each containing — 25 lbs totaling 150 lbs.
90 Day Expiration Date: June 6, 2018
TSDF: The material will go to Clean Harbors Aragonite Incinerator
Your consideration would be greatly appreciated in this matter.
Thank You,
Blaine Jensen
