UTD982592479
Dear Mr. Jensen: The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control has completed its review of your June 7,
2018 request for a 30-day extension to the 90 day storage limit to store six plastic five-gallon buckets of
gas generant waste. This waste was placed into storage on March 6, 2018. According to our calculations, the 90-day storage limit for this waste expired on June 4, 2018. Your request is hereby approved. The waste should be shipped off-site by July 4, 2018. If it appears
that the DOT classification issue will not be resolved before that date, please contact the Division.
Please be aware that extensions are not generally granted after the fact. However, due to the DOT classification issue, an exception will be made in this case.
If you have any questions, please call Jon Parry at (801) 536-0234.
Sincerely,
Scott T. Anderson, Director Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control STA/JGP/kl
