Building 41, Room 240 Denver, CO 80225 RE: Subsurface Features and Soil Removal, Investigation, and Confirmation Sampling Report
Former General Services Administration (GSA) Motor Pool Maintenance Shop 330 East 200 South, Salt Lake City, Utah Dear Mr. Klainschmidt:
The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control has completed its review of the referenced report for the former GSA Motor Pool site prepared by Wasatch Environmental and dated April 5, 2018. In February 2018, GSA conducted removal of contaminated soil that was disposed of at an off-site facility. Based on the confirmation sampling results and previous reports, it appears that the residual soil and
groundwater contamination from the former GSA Motor Pool maintenance operations is insignificant and below respective risk levels. With regard to the PCE groundwater contamination encountered on the property that appears to originate
from a former upgradient dry cleaning facility, the prospective buyer is required to establish a Site Management Plan and Environmental Covenant with the appropriate activity and use limitations to address the risk posed by the contamination. If you have any questions, please call Hao Zhu at (801) 536-0249.
Sincerely,
Scott T. Anderson, Director Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Over)
