RE: Compliance Evaluation Inspection UTD988074241 Dear Mr. Olsen:
On February 22, 2018, representatives of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region VIII and the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control conducted a RCRA compliance evaluation inspection at your facility. The scope of the inspection was to determine compliance with applicable hazardous waste
management rules and regulations. The inspection team did note an accumulation container that had been onsite in excess of the 90-day limit. Although the drum was functioning as a satellite accumulation container, AutoLiv was dating the drum with an accumulation start date. In an ensuing discussion, it was determined that it would be advantageous to
manage these types of containers as satellite areas rather than 90-day areas. Autoliv has since implemented this practice. Thanks for your time. If you have any questions, please call Jon Parry at (801) 536-0234.
Sincerely,
Scott T. Anderson, Director Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control STA/JGP/kl
