An emergency hazardous
waste permit (#UT-00S-201S,
has been issued to Hill Air
Force Base located in Davis-
County, Utah. The permit
authorized Hill Air Force
Base to treat by detonation
two military mortars and
other TNT explosives that
were found at a campsite
approximately seven miles
north of Escalante, Utah.
The Garfield County Sheriff s
office requested assistance
from the Hill AFB EOD with
the disposal of the items
which were believed to con-
tain approximately 12 oz. of
explosives.
This permit was effective on
April20, 2018 and expired on
April 21,2018. Copies of the
permit are
available for public inspec-
tion during normal business
hours at the Division of
Waste Management and Ra-
diation Control, located on
the 2nd floor of the Multi
Agency State Office Build-
ing, 195 North 1950 West,
Salt Lake City, Utah. For fur-
