The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control has completed its review of the updated Tier-2 Human Health Risk Evaluation (HHRE) for the Oil Reclamation Area (ORA) Soil Piles OR-21C and OR-22A. The risk assessment evaluated the risks to a construction worker, an indoor worker, an outdoor worker and a maintenance worker. The results from the risk assessment indicated that the soil piles were safe for commercial/industrial land use as fill material beneath roads, parking lots, and
embankments. Based on our review, the updated Tier 2 HHRE for ORA Soil Piles Solid Waste Management Units OR-21C and OR-22A is hereby approved.
