SOLID WASTE FACILITY INSPECTION REPORT

GENERAL COMMENTS
This landfill will need some work but appears to be in good working order. There is a new trench excavated that has not teur usea. ffre operator
indicated that he thought the trench was too deep. I suggested he place bulky waste in there for now without compacting to increase the desired
l0-15 feet of elevation. Waste paint collected from incoming loads are stored without plans to dispose elsewhere. I recommended that these cans
of paint should go into the landfill since these wastes are allowed for disposal.

The hours of operation at
this landfill are posted at the
front gate to the facility.
Wastes deemed
unacceptable for disposal are
segregated. In this case, the
landfill tenant considered
paint unacceptable and
collected the pain at the gate.
When asked about their
plans for disposing of this
paint, the landfill operator
did not know what they were
going to do with this waste.
I recommended that they
dispose of the waste in the
landfill cell since it is
acceptable as a waste for
Rich County.

Directions of waste
management are posted at
the gate house.
Refrigerators are stored
separately from the scrap
metal. Refrigerant is
drained by a contractor and
the refrigerators are marked
as "empty" after the
refrigerant is removed.
Work is logged in a book.

Waste metal waiting for
recycling is collected. The
waste appeared orderly and
clean. The operator
indicated they check this pile
regularly to make sure that
citizens do not add regular
garbage to this pile.
Waste tires are collected and
stored for pickup.
