Central Valley Landfill
Dear Mr. Bland: An inspection of the Central Valley Class VI Landfill was conducted by a representative of the Division
of Waste Management and Radiation Control on June 26, 2018.
The landfill is very well operated. Only construction and demolition wastes were observed. Cover is applied regularly to new waste and is present on areas that are not currently receiving waste. Approximately ten percent of the incoming loads are inspected. Inspection records are available.
Fencing and signs are intact. Green and untreated wood waste is segregated for chipping and
composting and metals are collected for recycling. Concrete is crushed for road base to be used on-site or sold. At the time of inspection, the landfill was in compliance with applicable solid waste regulations and the
