Facility Description/Activities :
Upon arriving at the facility, the inspector, Tina Mercer, was met by Rob Jahries, went
and toured the facility, as we walked through the facility seems they laid cement gravel
and with all the heavy traffic it became dust. This could be a problem for the machinery
so Liberty will be fixing the roadway next few weeks.
Touring the facility went through product ready to be shipped in white super sacks. The
facility is busy producing field product is now till October so facility has quite a few of
the white product sacks. Then off to see the tube pile which usually gets shipped off
every two (2) months to be recycled. Rim Pile inspection where the aluminum are

collected prior to being sent to Clearfield Recyclers and the steel rims are collected off to
Nucor steel production company.
Line one (1) and line two (2) are for passenger tires recycling through Liberty process,
and line three (3) is for processing semi and over road tire. All three (3) lines were
operational at the time of the inspection.
Drain water from processing goes through an oil/water separator, and then on yearly
bases they have a company come collect the oil for recycling.
Toured the secondary area where they produce TDF. The next step was making fibers
and pulling out the wire to a bailer machine which puts the wire bails into square clean
bundle for shipment to recycler.
Checked paperwork before departing on scales being calibrated with an annual
certification for upcoming Salt Lake County clean up.
