Box 1005 Brigham City, Utah 84302 RE: Compliance Evaluation Inspection Brigham City Compost Facility Dear Mr. Mickelsen: On June 20, 2018, the Brigham City compost facility was inspected by a representative of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control. The compost facility at the water treatment plant is clean and well operated. The large amount of material is separated into composting windrows and wood chip piles. A variety of compost and wood chip products are available for sale. Biosolids or manure is added to the compost but odor is not significant in the compost area. It appears the Compost Facility Annual Report for 2017 for this facility was not submitted. This report is due March 1 of each year. Please submit the report at your earliest convenience. The form for the report can be found at: “https://deq.utah.gov/legacy/forms/waste-management-radiation- control/index.htm#swp”. We appreciate your efforts to operate the facility in compliance with current regulations. If you have any questions, please call Phil Burns at (801) 536-0253. Sincerely, Scott T.
