RE: Compliance Evaluation Inspection Box Elder County Little Mountain Landfill

Dear Ms. Allen:
On June 20, 2018, a representative of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control inspected
the Little Mountain Class I Landfill. In general, the landfill is well operated. Daily cover is applied to a
working face that is reasonably sized. Load and facility inspection records are available. Fencing and signs
are intact. Metals and tires are segregated for recycling. The public convenience center is clean and well operated.
A minor amount of windblown litter was present around the facility. Also, partially exposed waste between
the current working face and the previously filled area to the west should be more completely covered.
