Sevier County Class I Sage Flat Landfill
Dear Mr. Ogden: The Sevier County Class I Sage Flat Landfill was inspected on June 6, 2018 by a representative of the
Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control. The purpose of the inspection was to determine
compliance with the Utah Solid Waste Management Rules and the Permit. The assistance of the Landfill Manager, Kelly Conder and his assistants, Cody Edwards and Deloy Johnson, was appreciated. The landfill continues to operate in an exceptional manner. The tipping faces of each of the landfill cells
were compacted and covered nicely as was the organization of the paper work including the operating
records and training records. The accumulation areas for green waste, metals, tires and refrigerators were all properly organized. The roads for each area of the landfill were also well groomed and maintained.
All areas of the landfill operation were found to be in compliance with applicable rules and the
