FACILITY DBSCRIPTION:
Bingham Livestock has had a Plan of Operation to apply food byproducts via landspreading on fields it owns in
Collinston, Utah (see Google Map attachment). CARNE I Corp. has previously been contracted by Bingham Livestock to
prepare the Plan of Operation application and to coordinate delivery of food byproducts to Bingham Livestock fields.
The fields are currently being used to grow grain and grass crops (see attached photographs).
CREDENTIALS, PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Patrick Sheehan met with and presented credentials to Brett Dayley of CARNE I Corp. The purpose of the inspection was
to conduct a close-out inspection as Bingham Livestock has not reported any landspreading activities in the past 10 years,
and CARNE I Corp. has stated that it would be withdrawing its Plan of Operation for the facility.
MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES AND OBSERVATIONS:
Bingham Livestock has fields just west of Highway 38 in Collinston, Utah, just north of Deweyville, Utah. For the past
l0 years, CARNE I Corp. has reported landspreading activities in submitted annual reports to the Division on behalf of
Bingham Livestock, and for the past 10 years, no food byproducts have been applied to the Bingham Livestock lands.
Because of this inactivity, CARNE I Corp representatives have verbally stated to Patrick Sheehan of the Division that it
would be withdrawing the Plan of Operation for the Bingham Livestock site.
SUMMARY:
Based on the above information, the Division should be receiving a letter withdrawing the Plan of Operation for
landspreading activities. The inspection revealed no landspreading activities at the Bingham Livestock site.
