Dear Mr. Cunningham: The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control has completed its review of PacifiCorp’s May 25, 2018 request to dispose of demolition waste generated during the demolition and reclamation of
the Deer Creek and the Rilda Canyon mine sites above the Huntington Power Plant at the Huntington
Class IIIb landfill. The anticipated waste generated would contain approximately 2,000 cubic yards of reinforced concrete and approximately ten tons of office material consisting of mainly paper. A representative of the Division inspected both mines portal sites on May 30, 2018.
