160 North Main Street Nephi, Utah 84648 RE: Juab Rural Development Agency (JRDA) Class II Landfill Inspection

Dear Mr. Seely: The JRDA Landfill was inspected on May 30, 2018 by a representative of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control. In general, the facility is well operated.

The entrance road and gate area were free of litter, signs were in place and recyclable materials were segregated. Random waste load inspections were being conducted and inspection reports were available. Incoming household waste appears to be adequately compacted and covered. It appeared that the construction/demolition waste pile has not been covered in some time. The Solid Waste Permitting
and Management Rules require that combustible waste be covered with a minimum of six inches of soil,
or equivalent, as needed to avoid a fire hazard (See R315-305-5(4) of the Utah Administrative Code). We appreciate your efforts to operate the facility in compliance with current regulations. If you have any questions, please call Phil Burns at [phone].
