Subject: Disposal of PacifiCorp Mining Industrial Waste Material in the Huntington Class
Mb Industrial Landfill (Permit 0002R)
Dear Mr. Anderson,
PacifiCorp is in the process of the demolition and reclamation of the Deer Creek Mine sites in the
Deer Creek and Rilda Canyons above the Huntington Power Plant. During the demolition of the
sites PacifiCorp will generate approximately 2,000 cubic yards of reinforced concrete and
approximately ten tons of office material which consists of mainly paper. The concrete and office
material debris are nonhazardous and will contain no free liquids. PacifiCorp requests that the
debris be allowed to be disposed of in the Huntington Industrial Waste Landfill. A written response
to the request would be appreciated.
