Dear Mr. Scott:
The Trans Jordan Landfill was inspected by a representative of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control on May 16, 2018. The main municipal waste disposal area, the compost facility, and the public convenience center including the recycling and household hazardous waste areas were inspected.
Facility and load inspection records were also inspected. The location and design of the next disposal cell
to be constructed, closure of the current disposal cell, the gas collection system, and new litter fencing around the disposal cells were discussed. The landfill is very well operated. No deficiencies were observed. Run-on and run-off controls, daily and
final cover, signs, fencing, litter control, scale house, composting, and recycling operations are all
