Dear Mr. Allen:
The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control has completed a preliminary review of United States Gypsum’s application to renew its Class IIIb Landfill Permit. Please address the following two items and resubmit the correction portions of the application or a revised application. 1. The word “normal” appears in three places in the document when referring to “water monitoring. These references are found in Part 1, h., Part II, e., and Part VI, a. Please change the word “normal” to “ground” so that these sentences clarify the term “ground water monitoring.” 2. Part II, Plan of Operation, Appendix J, contained language from other parts of the permit application. Please make sure the document is collated correctly.
