We are writing to make a formal request to stop the permitting and NOT allow tor the distribution of waste on the property of Todd Lish/Freedom Farms near Fielding Ut
It has come to my attention that a permit for "non-typical farming" has been granted for spreading rotten whey products on farm ground East of Fielding.
I enjoy being in this community and wish to continue to do this without the constant nuisance of bugs, flies and birds brought on by this horrible smell which comes from this rotten
product I don't want our community to have to deal with non-stop problems that will most certainly come by allowing this waste to be dumped. We don't want to be forced to stay indoors or away from our home because of the rotten smell and other nuisances that will occur. A horrible smell, along with the nuisance of bugs, birds etc. will cause issues with
farmers and others who work outside for a living. It will have a negative impact on their ability to be able tö work effectively outside or near the waste. This is a huge concern and problem for an farmers and others who work outside in this area because this impacts their livelihood!
There are many people that will be negatively affected by the distribution of this product. Fielding, Beaver Dam and Plymouth are 3 neighboring communities all of which will be affected by all the nuisances that will come if allowed. Fielding Elementary School is only a few miles away from the property which will surely be affected. Other nearby communities, could also be
affected. I believe WE who live here, should have the say in what happens to our community... And I do not want this "non-typical farming practice" in our community. We as people in this community do NOT want to suffer with all the nuisances and problems that this waste will bring, some of which we are probably still unaware!
Please do NOT allow any dumping on this or any other ground neighboring this community
Sincerely,
Scott Anderson — Director

l enjoy being in this community and wish to continue to do this without the economic
and environmental impact this process will bring to the community. Our community will be
devastated as it is like dumping liquid toxin on farm land. The toxic waste will affect the ground
water and in time the Bear River will not be able to support fish and other wild life. Reports
from other areas say their rivers have become like the Dead Sea. Fish are not able to survive the
impact in their environment.
Remember what it was like to have snow and rain runoff? What happens when the land
can't support the large numbers of gallons of liquid whey byproduct?
Where will the underground water contaminates go ...our Underground Spring, our personal
wells where many homes in the community use it as their only source of drinking water, also it
can affect the leach fields of our septic tanks.
There are other concerns as well, like the smell of rotten whey, the rodents and other
pests, the many big trucks daily delivering the byproduct driving past our school.
We have no idea of what the long term effect will be once it begins, but other
communities around the country have been adversely affected by similar processes of the toxic
whey byproduct. We who live here should have the say in what happens to our community and
we do not want this non-typical farming practice in our community.
We as the people in this community do NOT want to suffer with all the problems,
impact and nuisances that this waste will bring.
Sincerely
