Box L44820 Salt Lake city, UT 847L6 Via Certified Mail: REVIEWED Reference:Forming Section Scrubbers NSPS Report Owens Corning lnsulating Systems, LLC - Nephi Facility Approva I Order DAQE-AN 141780008-23 Period from July L,2023 through December 3L,2023 To Whom lt May Concern: This letter serves as the semi-annual report of deviations of required monitoring parameters for the four Forming Section Scrubbers and the one Process Development Line Scrubber, as required by 40 CFR 60.684(d) (Subpart PPP: Standards of Performance for Wool Fiberglass lnsulation Manufacturing Plants). Section ll.B.2.b of Approva! Order DAQE-AN141780008-23 (lssued April 6,20231provides the operating parameters to be maintained and monitored. The report period is July 1,2023 through December 3t,2023. Emissions from the bonded fiberglass insulation line are controlled by four scrubbers, and the process development line is controlled by one scrubber. Water flow and differential pressure (dP) monitoring deviations are summarized below. When a data check is missed, the data recording process is reviewed with personnelto make sure that readings must be taken every 4 hours. When a low/high flow or low/high dP reading occurs, a reaction plan is triggered to address the equipment related issue that caused the out-of-range reading. This process will continue to be evaluated in order to lessen or eliminate such occurrences. Equipment calibrations are required per 40 CFR 60.683(c) and Section 1l.B.2.b.1of Approval Order DAQE-AN141780008-23. Calibration checks were conducted for each scrubber's flow meter which operated in the 3'd and 4th quarters. All calibration checks were within specification. Per the manufacturer's recommendation, calibration of the dP gauges is not required. I certify under penalty of law that this document and all attachments were prepared under my direction or supervision in accordance with a system designed to assure that qualified personnel properly gather and evaluate the information submitted.
