Dear Mr. Caldwell:
On June 11, 2015, the Division of Environmental Response and Remediation (DERR)
received the most-recent groundwater monitoring report for this Site. Following review of the
project file, the DERR project manager recommends performing an additional round of groundwater
monitoring and sampling of all site wells. It is especially important that the downgradient perimeter
wells MW-3, MW-5, and MW-6 be monitored and sampled.
All environmental samples must be collected by a Utah-Certified sampler following
sampling protocols as outlined in Utah Admin. Code R311-205. The report associated with the
sampling event must be submitted to our office within 90 days from the receipt of this letter.
Environmental samples must be analyzed for gasoline, diesel and TRPH (SGT) constituents using
the methods indicated in the Environmental Media Sampling Handbook (June 1, 2021) available on
the DERR website.
Following receipt of your groundwater monitoring report, further review of your file will
lead to either no further action (closeout) of your site, or, additional work may be necessary as
determined by the Division Director. This additional work may consist of performing additional
investigation activities, conducting corrective or remedial action to cleanup to established levels,
implementing groundwater or other types of environmental monitoring to assess trends in
contaminant levels, performing a risk assessment to establish site-specific cleanup levels, or other
related activities.
