Re: Geneva Rock Products – Temporary Relocation/Operation, Notice of Intent – Tooele
County

Your Notice of Intent dated April 3, 2024, to relocate a portable generator to the temporary project
for Geneva Rock’s Bauer Pit located at 2380 South Bauer Road, Stockton, UT, was received by
the Utah Division of Air Quality (DAQ) and has been reviewed.

The following equipment has been approved for operation for this temporary project:

Cat 750 kW generator

The State of Utah has permitted portable equipment for Geneva Rock Products on the Approval
Order (AO) DAQE-AN110420003-21 dated February 17, 2021. The above referenced location is
a permitted facility with established production limits. The portable generator engine operating at
this facility must be done in accordance with the permanent Geneva Rock Products AO
DAQE-AN130390002-22 dated March 16, 2022. The operation of generators must comply with
the permanent AO’s fuel consumption requirements of Conditions II.B.1.b and the opacity
requirements of II.B.1.d.E

Approval is granted to relocate and operate this equipment at the new location for a period not to
exceed 180 operational days. As per Utah Administrative Code (UAC) R307-401-17, the
operation of equipment at this temporary site may be for up to 180 working days in any calendar
year not to exceed 365 consecutive days, starting from the initial relocation date.

The owner/operator shall maintain records of the actual operation hours, and days of the above
referenced equipment at this relocation site and have the ability to submit the information to the
DAQ upon the request of representatives of the Director. Please make certain that the plant
operator is aware of all the location specific requirements for this site and the conditions of the
aforementioned AO.

Utah Division of Water Quality Storm Water Permits and regulations may apply to this temporary
project. Please refer to https://secure.utah.gov/deq-dashboard/index.html for additional
information.

This approval for relocation in no way releases the owner or operator from any liability for
compliance with all other applicable federal, state, and local regulations including the UAC.
