FIELD OBSERVATIONS:
Observed excavation of Area A. Rubicon was actively excavating contaminated area while DK
Environmental used an XRF to screen soil for lead and arsenic concentrations. DK Environmental
indicated that the contaminated lithologic unit was a black sand unit that was likely brought in from the
former production facility and used to fill low-lying areas at the Site. After the soil was excavated, the soil
was moved and placed on a tarp for classification and eventual removal from the Site. Images from Site
excavation activities and the soil unit in question are attached.

COMMENTS: DK Environmental indicated the plan is to use the Site for residential, multi-unit housing in
the future.
