RE: Notification of Equipment Replacement Approval
Project Number: N115900007

The Division of Air Quality (DAQ) received your notification, on February 22, 2024, concerning the
replacement of screens at the Milford Quarry. The existing equipment is a 6’ by 20’ Cedarapids screen with
a capacity of 792 tph, manufactured in 1996. The replacement equipment is an 8’ by 20’ Cedarapids screen
with a capacity of 792 tph, manufactured in 2023. The replacement screen was initially modeled in
DAQE-AN011590004-11 and has been included in each permit update since 2011. The provided
specifications in the notification from Martin Marietta Materials, Incorporated meet the screen requirements
listed in the current AO.

The DAQ has determined that Martin Marietta Materials, Incorporated Milford Quarry’s current Approval
Order does not need to be updated because the replacement screen was modeled previously and is included in
the most recent AO under item II.A.8.

The charge for the review done is the time spent on the project by DAQ staff as authorized by the Utah
Legislature. You will receive an invoice for these charges shortly. If you have any questions, please contact

The above replacement screen was modeled in DAQE-AN011590004-11 and is just now being installed. A
36”X10’ conveyor will be replacing an existing chute off the screen as part of this install. If you have any
