PROCESS DESCRIPTION: Mission Support Incorporated operates an aircraft sheet metal repair shop and paint booth. The company does contractual sheet metal repair work for primarily the U.S. military with occasional work for commercial aircraft. Parts to be repaired and raw materials are shipped to the Mission Support work shop. The work consists of refurbishing aircraft airframe components. After the aircraft components have been refurbished they are painted according to manufactures specifications. The paint booth is equipped with two negative air fans at the north and south end of a large room. The fans pull air from the booths through filters that capture paint particulate before being vented out two exhaust stacks and into the atmosphere. Special polyurethane paints are used for the military parts. After the parts have been refurbished, painted, and inspected, they are created and shipped to their destinations. APPLICABLE REGULATIONS: Small Source Exemption (SSE) DAQE-EN101540001-20 dated March 24, 2020. Revocation of the Approval Order (AO) DAQE-113-92 dated February 1, 1992, GN101540002-20 dated March 24, 2020. SOURCE EVALUATION: COMPLIANCE STATUS & RECOMMENDATIONS: Mission Support Inc., is now operating under the SSE DAQE-EN101540001-20 dated March 24, 2020. The source AO was revoked on the same date on the document DAQE-GN101540002-20. RECOMMENDATION FOR NEXT INSPECTION: Remove from the inspection targeting system.
