Dear Mr. Powers:
Olympus Environmental, lnc. (Olympus), on behalf of Laundry Supply Company (LSC),
submits the following response to your April 8, 1998 lefter regarding proposed revisions to the
Srfe lnrcsfigation Plan (SIP) for LSC's facility located at 3785 West 1987 South in Salt Lake
City, Utah (Facility). ln addition to the revisions proposed in Olympus' letter dated April 3,
1998, we propose that the following revision be incorporated into the SIP:
Samples for laboratory analyses will be analyzed using protocol established in SW-&46
Method 82608. Evergreen Analytical, lnc. (Evergreen) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado will perform
the analyses. The Utah Department of Health, Bureau of Laboratory lmprovement certified
Evergreen for environmental monitoring under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.
Evergreen's laboratory certification with the Bureau of Laboratory lmprovement expires on May
31, 1998. Evergreen's re-certification is cunently in progress. lf Evergreen is not re-certified,
Olympus will select a laboratory with cunent certifications.
