The Division has completedits review of EnergySolutions’ responseto the October 31, 2023 Notice of Enforcement Discretion as it relates to Inspection Module 20: Physical Protection of
Category 1 & 2 Quantities of Radioactive Material. The Division appreciates the seriousness and attention that EnergySolutions has given in response to this matter.
The Division finds EnergySolutionsproposed corrective actions acceptable to resolve the findings detailed in the October 2023 Notice of Enforcement Discretion and has no further comment.
A follow-up inspection will be conducted during the latter half of 2024 to ensure all corrective actions have been implemented. The Division considers this matter closed.
