Based on the sampling results, the Division has determined that the contaminated gravel, sediment, or soil from Pet Hollow Dry Wash that was illegally disposed of on US Forest Service Road 146 does not pose a threat to the environment or human health. While placement of the material on the Forest Service Road was a violation of Utah Administrative Code R315-301-4(1) which states, “No person shall incinerate, burn, or otherwise dispose of any solid waste in any place except at a facility which is in compliance with the requirements of Rules R315-301 through 320 and other applicable rules,” based on the sampling results, no further action is required at this time.
