The completion of this discharge permit was a condition of the Temporary Operating Permit issued on April 17, 2023. The Division issued Plan Approval for a portion of this project on June 23, 2021. Our understanding of the project is that the Yonder Escalante LLC (the System) replaced the Iron Filter (identified as TP001 in the Division’s database) and Pressure Tank #1 (HD001). Then, the System installed Pressure Tank #2 (HD002) and Iron Filtration System (TP002). The Iron Filtration System (TP002) includes the following in order from the wellhead to the distribution system: 50-micron Amiad filter ST001 tank with ozone generator and diffuser (Clean Water Systems 5g/hr) 350 gallon per minute (gpm) Skid Mount Pump with VFD Large filtration system (two trains) including sediment backwash filter, pro-ox iron filter, and carbon backwash filter. Each filtration vessel has a BNT 95 control valve with a 45 GPM high service flow rate and a 40 GPM high backwash flow rate. Water softener Detailed project description is summarized in the Temporary Operating Permit. We have received information about the required permitting through the Division of Water Quality.
