Facility History - Executive Summary
Two tanks, one diesel and one gasoline, were decommissioned at the Utah State Fuel Network location in Thompson Springs on
10/10/02023. The tanks were removed of 185 gallons of fuel and sludge, then cleaned. They were then inerted with dry ice and
delivered to Grand County Landfill for disposal. The product from the tanks was delivered to Sump and Trap Cleaning in West Salt
Lake City.
Removal and closure sampling was conducted by Aaron Spackman of Spackman Enterprises. The grab samples showed elevated
levels of Benzene, TPH-GRO, TPH-DRO. Corrective action deemed unnecessary due to lack of the mobility of the remaining
contamination as well as no surrounding potential receptors.
