SUBJECT:LUST NFA - Closure Review Memo
Jordan School District #3, located at 8370 South 4300 West, West Jordan, Utah
Facility Identification No. 4002196, Release Site OIJ
Underground storage tanks used at Jordan School District fuel depot were removed in July 2023. Initial samples taken from the tank pit yielded levels of contamination over Tier 1. An
over-excavation of the tank pit was conducted by removing 65 tons of solids and sending it to ET Technologies for treatment. On October 26, 2023 seven borings were installed to evaluate
the remaining soil contamination. These confirmation samples showed all contamination levels under ISL’s.The information submitted indicates that any detectable petroleum contamination
from this release is not a threat to human health or the environment according to Utah Admin. Code R311-211. In the future, if other evidence indicates a threat to human health or the
environment, additional corrective action may be required.
