Using the vacuum without the primary filter or overfill protection filters in place can cause damage to the motors. 3.3.3 Do not use the vacuum to suck up volatile, flammable or explosive liquids. 3.3.4 Do not overload the drum. 3.3.5 Do not operate continuously for extended periods of time. CL-LD-WI-002 East Rotary Wet & Dry Industrial Vacuum Cleaner Revision 0 Non-Proprietary Page 4 of 5 3.3.6 Never suck up liquids with the vacuum set up for dry waste. 3.3.7 Never operate the vacuum in dry mode without the two primary filters in place 3.3.8 Always use appropriate handling techniques when operating the Wet & Dry Industrial Vacuum Cleaner. 3.3.9 Never operate the vacuum with damaged filters. If in doubt, replace the filters. 4 REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDANCE 4.1 Powering Unit and Motors: 4.1.1 The vacuum system has a 4-position switch which switches each motor on and off individually. (Position 0 is off. Position 1 switches the first motor on; Position 2 switches the second motor on; Position 3 switches the third motor on. This is known as a “soft start”. 4.2 Accessing Platform 4.2.1 While ascending or descending the platform access stairs, watch your footing and hold onto the handrails. 4.2.2 Stairways shall remain clear of any debris, tools or other items that may pose a trip hazard. 4.3 Operation 4.3.1 Preform a pre-operational check to make sure that the vacuum and correct filter configurations are in place. 4.3.2 When using the industrial vacuum cleaner never place your hands or any other part of your body over the end of the suction hose or inlet spigot while the vacuum is in operation. 4.3.3 Select the correct attachment for use prior to turning on the vacuum system. 4.3.4 At the end of shift or when done using the wet/dry vacuum system, drain and empty the vacuum canister. 4.4 Shutdown 4.4.1 At the end of shift or when done using the wet/dry vacuum system, drain and empty the vacuum canister. 4.4.2 Use the blue valve release tool to open the valve to drain and empty the vacuum canister. 5 ATTACHMENTS AND FORMS NONE CL-LD-WI-002 East Rotary Wet & Dry Industrial Vacuum Cleaner Revision 0 Non-Proprietary Page 5 of 5
