Director February 13, 2024 Mack Allen Straw Eagle Mountain City 1650 E Stage Coach Run Eagle Mountain, UT 84005 Subject: Notice of Increased Monitoring for Eagle Mountain City; UTAH25142 Mack Allen Straw: According to the Division of Drinking Water’s (the Division) records, on January 11, 2024, Nitrate was detected at 6.2 mg/L in Eagle Mountain Cities Well #5 (identified as WS006). Although this result is less than the maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 10 mg/L, this result requires increased monitoring in accordance with R309-205-5(4)(b). Beginning in April 2024, a Nitrate sample will be expected each quarter that Well #5 (WS006) supplies water to the distribution system. The quarterly requirement will remain in place for at least four quarters. The sampling frequency can be reduced back to annually after four quarters of results are received, and the results are reliably and consistently less than the MCL.
