Issuance of this Operating Permit changes your water system’s monitoring and reporting requirements. During the new source chemical analysis, Toluene was detected at levels of 0.0008 µg/L. In accordance with R309-205-6(2)(j), this source is required to be monitored for Volatile Organics for a minimum of two quarters. If after two quarters of sampling, the levels reported are reliably and consistently below their respective Maximum Contaminant Levels (MCLs), the monitoring requirement can be reduced to one sample per year. The monitoring requirements for this well are given below. An updated monitoring schedule can be viewed any time at waterlink.utah.gov under the Water Monitoring section.
