Dear Mr. Anderson:
In a letter dated August 30, 2023, EnergySolutionssubmitted arequest (via CD-2023-172, DRC-2023-071330) for an extension of the submittal of the First Semi-Annual Accelerated Groundwater
Monitoring Report (Report) for 2023. As per the GWQDP Part I.H.1.b, the Report is due by September 1 of each year. EnergySolutions requested an extension for the Report until September
19, 2023, because the delivery date of the analytical data to EnergySolutions was past the Report due date. The Report was subsequently submitted on September 8, 2023, under CD-2023-176
(DRC-2023-072078).
In reviewing this request, The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) made no official response to the initial extension request. Tocomplete the administrative
record associated with this request, the Division shall hereby grant approval for the one-time extension of the First Semi-Annual Accelerated Groundwater Monitoring Report for 2023.
