In light of scheduling and logistical issues, I wanted to share some info. w/you both: Originally, we had intended to contract w/Regenesis for injection products at both the Linde/Praxair and Brown Straus Steel (BSS) VCP sites….utilizing Sean Bromley/Direct Push Services (DPS) for the actual injections. However, I was apprised by Sean that DPS cannot schedule either of the Linde or BSS projects --- until April 2024, at the earliest. VERY frustrated w/DPS, as they had claimed “No problem for BSS this Fall”….and they strung me out, unfortly.!! Regenesis and I have been scrambling to investigate what other drilling firms have the technical expertise, capabilities, and schedules that will accommodate getting to both VCP sites, sooner/asap. We have one drilling firm (Interphase Drilling, mobilizing from CA) identified (price and schedule comparable to UT firms, if the two projects are completed/piggy-backed with one mobilization to Utah for the drilling firm and eqpt., etc.). The soonest Interphase can start is Jan. 2nd at the Linde VCP site; work at Linde for 3 weeks (Mon-Fri. only) to complete the Linde/Praxair PlumeStop injections….and then they and Stantec would mobilize to the BSS site for microbial injections (~ 2-day project, sometime around Jan. 23rd). In light of weather concerns – the Linde project must 4/24/24, 9:54 PM State of Utah Mail - Stantec - Linde PRAP and BSSteel microbial injections https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/?ik=5be3741f93&view=pt&search=all&permmsgid=msg-f:1783851395003563590&simpl=msg-f:1783851395003563590 2/3 start first. In light of upcoming Holidays and subcontracting, it will be Jan. – before know it, etc. Interphase can turnkey both projects at reasonable rates, as long as we “piggy-back” both VCP projects’ field work with one Interphase mobilization to Utah, etc. I realize that Leigh is awaiting this info., asap…..whereas Joe (Bill et al w/VCP) have not yet formally “approved” our Linde PRAP report that concluded its 30-day PubNotice, last week around ~ Nov. 21st. There will be a lot of logistics, subbing and delivering Regenesis products to each respective VCP site….all of which will take weeks to perform. I/Stantec cannot be contracted by Linde/Praxair, nor subcontract the Subs - UNTIL Joe et al ‘approve’ our Linde PRAP report. I simply wanted to share this info. w/you both and your VCP colleagues…..and learn if UDEQ might have any timeframe for approving the Linde PRAP…?....and ensure that Leigh is OK w/the proposed BSS injection schedule.
