Tonya,

Thank you for the acceptance letter. That letter says:

Please ensure in the future that sheen monitoring is
performed from all of the stations noted on the form
included with the Post Removal Site Control Plan.

However, Section 6.1 of the PRSCP on Sheen Monitoring, Monitoring
Schedule states that the sheen monitoring will only occur during the first year.
That is why we did not do sheen monitoring during the second year and don’t
plan to do it this year.

Section 6.1 also states that future sheen monitoring will be under the normal
ongoing canal monitoring programs conducted by the City and Chevron.

Hey Paul, Thank you for clarifying. The reason for my comment was I noticed
that there actually was some sheen monitoring from a couple of the designated
points in the last report, but it doesn't seem like all the stations were included.
This does explain why to some degree though, so I'll go look more closely at
those sections in the PRSCP.

Leigh,

The photographs of the canal were next to the SPAs. The Section 6.2 on SPA
1 and SPA 1A Monitoring does includes:
Sheen Characteristics on Adjacent Canal – record observed sheens if
present

So this is different that the Sheen Monitoring in Section 6.1. I apologize for the
confusion.
