Good morning, Leigh –
Please find the attached scope of work for additional off-site and downgradient
assessment of 1,4-dioxane in groundwater for your review. As you will see,
GE has elected to include four (4) wells on three (3) private properties, as well
as the wells along the right of way. Let us know if you have questions.
Best,

Hi Leigh, Bill & Scott – Could we please schedule a call soon to
discuss the attached proposed plan to compete the additional
off-site groundwater monitoring? I would like to follow up on our
last call and the open items that we need to address before GE
conducts further off-site groundwater delineation.
The open question I would like to discuss is what DERR’s
expectations will be for addressing any groundwater
constituents detected (e.g., for 1,4-dioxane or chlorinated
solvents) above the UTDEQ applicable screening criteria,
where the goal is to obtain closure of the GE Site VCP. The
other open question to discuss is if GE elects and is permitted
access to install additional groundwater monitoring wells, and
sample, on the downgradient privately owned properties
(Advance Metals Finishing & Accurate Cut Carbide), what are
DERR’s expectations if GE is denied Site access, and will
therefore have no opportunity to collaborate with these property
(their future use, use restrictions, Site management (plan), EC,
etc.)
Please advise if you have availability for a call tomorrow
(Friday) at 10:00 am Mtn to discuss the above and attached.
Thanks in advance

All –
Based on our conversation today, the attached scope of work was revised to
include the following:
Survey of each new well in order to be included in future potentiometric
maps

Analysis of groundwater samples from this assessment for VOC per
Method 8260
Also, the assessment areas on Table 1 were updated for clarity and now
indicate which are existing wells, which are new ROW wells and which are
new private property wells.
As discussed, we will proceed with this scope of work and keep DERR
updated on our schedules.

Hello, I've looked over this based on some of my prior comments and the
notes from the last meeting and we can approve this. Please keep us informed
on the schedule. I am also going through the 1,4 Dioxane memo we received
as well as the December 2023 data.
Thank you,
Leigh
